"COMPUTER CERTAINTY" IS AN ODD NAME FOR A WEB SITE LIKE THIS:

"CCI" is the abbreviated name of Computer Certainty Inc. Originally formed in 1982 as a professional training group for engineers and architects,  it was amongst the first in the Country to offer nationwide onsite professional training in Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Geared to the corporate environment and the expectations of professional designers, CCI instructors taught the "new" PC based, 2D drafting packages that swept the market known as AutoCAD and the 3D wireframe software known as CADKEY.

About 8 years later PTC introduced a revolutionary 3D parametric "Solid modeler" known as Pro Engineer, an impressive UNIX based software for mechanical design. CCI immediately "went with the flow" which soon became a "flood".

In 1995, SolidWorks Corporation introduced it's Windows based parametric software. With 85% of Pro E's power but only 10% of its price, the "flood" to 3D solid modeling became a tidal wave. AutoCAD and other electronic 2 dimensional drafting tools have long since fallen by the wayside.

CCI still accepts invitations to teach 3D applications at local colleges and provide formal training for design professionals. However, it's primary activity is as a contract design studio offering product development and design services, vendor coordination and project management for manufactured products.

All the rendered and animated images you see at this site were taken from actual parts and assemblies developed in Pro Engineer or SolidWorks. All the manufactured parts were machined and/or molded in CNC machines using machine codes generated from 3D models developed in house.
